I screwed up with the words, I meant the first one. 800 MSP over here had the purchasing power of €10 however the 800 MSP card cost €15. The new 10€ card has the same purchasing power while also costing €10, so it became a lot cheaper.
Oh ok. In that case, I think the USA stayed exactly the same or became slightly more expensive because now you have to pay tax. Some states in the USA still don't have to pay tax, so it varies.
I also have a couple Japanese accounts, and their situation is more complicated because the going price of their old MSP cards changed with time, or the amount. Plus once again there are before/after tax issues. But overall, I think Japanese points got slightly cheaper with the change. Nowhere near as extreme as Finland, though.
