Xbox 360 started out well in terms of JRPGs and was the best choice for fans of the genre for the first half of last gen. The games kind of stopped coming towards the end though while the PS3 kept trucking all the way until 2017.

In the end, I think the Xbox 360 is worth it for fans of the genre, especially today when you can get one for very little but calling it "The JRPG Machine" is an exaggeration.

Well both symphonia games were a port. Also you're forgetting Phantasy Star Universe and Star Ocean for Xbox

Depends on what you're looking for. If it's the traditional turn-based stuff with a world map and children saving the world through the power of friendship from a great evil that has just awakened after centuries of sleep then you didn't miss much. If you want "Japanese RPGs" then some more like Demon's Souls, 3D Dot Game Heroes and the Yakuza series. Some older ports too not on Xbox 360 like Kingdom Hearts, Okami and Final Fantasy X. Many also seem to forget that Persona 5 had a competent version on the PS3.

The 360 would have been better for Jrpgs but a lot of the Supposed Jrpg fans were too stuck up Sony's ass to ever give an MS console a chance and so the Genre ended up pretty much dying on 360 and the funny thing is it never really shined on PS3 either.
Few Favorites- Ninja gaiden 1-2, Colony Wars 1-3,Xenogears,MarioKart,Lunar 2 GTA:SA,S&K,FF6-7,Zanac,S.Metroid,SMB2,NFL2K5,Halo 2, NG2,Vanquish,Witcher 2.
