I just played through the entirety of Silent Hill Downpour, played off my External HD.

While the game for the most part ran fine, there were moments where I'd be running down a hallway, or street and it would literally begin to just chug, slowing down to a 10frame a second crawl or just freeze up.

I am curious if this was a problem with the throughput/streaming off the HD, or a problem in the game, or maybe a fragmented/damaged file?

Curious... is your Hard Drive powered through an outlet or self-sustaining... are you using USB 2.0 or 3.0 ?
