Where you and 7 other players are trapped in a mansion with no guns or anything and had to only use the environment or your fists to survive; meanwhile one player (or two maybe) has access to the mansions booby traps as well as a bludgeoning weapon or knife and the goal is to kill the others while your goal is to run, hide or escape (but you cant really kill the killer just temp maim them until time limit is out)

Competitive Clue?

no not competitive....more like co-op I guess...maybe like Haunting Ground.

I got inspiration of the idea from Japanese PS Home Siren gamespace but instead of the AI being the enemy, an actual player would be the killer

Wow! There's a franchise I'd long forgotten. This would make an interesting niche title (like Disaster Report, etc.), but it would pretty much DEMAND a multiplayer component to survive today's market.

I haven't heard of Deception till now, but judging by the OP, it sounds pretty interesting.

To: Devilman_Amon:

Your idea would be a great way to bring back Deception in today's market. They could even release it as a digital release to offset costs. If multiplayer worked well with castlevania, then it should work no problem for deception. We did get a deception 4 on the ps2, so the hope is still there.

There are so many great games on the psx/saturn that should be brought back (omega boost, silent bomber, true shining force, clockwork knight, fear effect, etc).

I've never heard of Deception before, but that sounds like a really fun concept. TC, why not try emailing the developers with your idea?

That reminds me a lot of Assassin's Creed online.

Well, except for the part of being trapped in a mansion.
