I bought a new 51" plasma tv a week ago. This is a vast improvement over my old 11x10 I got as a Christmas gift a few years ago. I finally got some time to game and decided to hook up the HDMI cables I bought off Amazon. This was a bad idea.

I can't go back anymore. Everything looks so much better in 720p and 1080p. I knew that it would look better, but I didn't think the difference would be this jarring.

Anyone else feel like this the first time?

Haha! I totally understand.

I bought a separate sound system that include two bsngin speakers and a woofer. Sadly, there's no way to use it with my PS3's HDMI setup.

I had to take a small step back, and use component cables (I think it's component; the cord that has 5 color on it).

Visually, it's noticable, but not too bad. Got some excellent sound now, though.

Yeah, the AV cables to HDMI cables jump was nice.

You can set up the PS3 to use HDMI for the video and the component for audio.

Meaning, hook up the HDMI from PS3 to TV and the component from PS3 to speakers...at the same time :)

Monster cables are a ripoff for suckers who fall for it in stores.

Lol, yeah. When I got my first HD TV. I figured the picture would be a little sharper or something, but there is a major difference from standard def TV's. I'll never be able to go back either.
