That was pretty much my reason. Bought my first PS1 for the Resident Evil series. Bought PS2 for games like the Suffering, Silent hill and gta. Then finally PS3 for God of war or whatever else hardcore violent games that might catch my fancy. I was always a Nintendo kid growing up but when i need something more adult i've always enjoyed Playstation's alternatives.

for th jRPGs.
well i had only played PhantasyStar 3-4 and Shining Force 1-2+CD before the PS1. Then my interest in jRPGs boomed during PS1 with all the good games. After that i have always bought PS consoles for the jRPGs.

TC sounds like an ignorant kid.
The console with the greater spec generally loses.

I didn't go into it with that intent, but that's pretty much what's happened. Most of the games I've wanted for the PS3 have been mature, but not all of them.
I sometimes feel as though life is a curse that has been placed on the living. I envy the unborn at times.

The Ignorant kid is 33 years old. Who's the kid now? I'm not one of those 12 year olds who plays mature games to be cool. I simply need an alternative to Mario and Zelda once in a while. Sony provides that nicely is all i'm saying.

I bought it because I thought it would have the most variety... oh, how wrong i was

Also i find the mature Sony games, mature for the wrong reasons... Calling Sony first party games mature is like calling CoD mature
^ many of the games are aimed at teens because its cool, the elements are far too shallow to be considered mature

I buy Playstation for the JRPGs which is what the ps1 and ps2 were.
The PS3 was like the angsty teenager that hated jrpgs and wanted bloody dudebro games.
PS4 will hopefully continue the legacy of the SNES succesors that were ps1 and ps2.

I bought it for the MGS4. Seriously, the only other game I have played so far on it is that stupid Move game that came along with it.
