Played both as a kid and enjoyed both but I gotta go with OoT as the most overrated since I hate it now.

I don't consider either of them to be the greatest but the most overrated would be Ocarina of Time. One of the few games I didn't finish because it bored me and it was also the game that made me stop caring about the Zelda series.

Ocarina was part of my childhood because I had an N64, so founder memories of it.

didn't get to try FF7 until my teen years, where I played it on emulator, thank god for the DirectX plugin, otherwise the game ran on 10 fps

If I had to pick now, then FF7. Better story. As far as turn based RPG mechanics go, it was solid with the materia system
