Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) -
Not exactly a game adaptation. Doesn't count.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010) -
Not bad, a little cheesy at times. Like a poor man's The Mummy (part 1, not the sequels)

Resident Evil (2002) -
Also not bad. RE didn't get bad til part 4.

Silent Hill (2006) -
Surprisingly good.

Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life (2003) -
Unlike part 1, this was unwatchable. Precisely at the moment she punches a shark in the nose.

Mortal Kombat (1995) -
Possibly the best on the list.

Doom (2005) -
This film gets a LOT more hate than it deserves. Possibly third best on the list. And I usually can't stand The Rock. If you haven't seen it yet, do yourself a favor and give it a try.

Max Payne (2008) -
Pretty darn good movie. Actually had emotion and heart. Just don't watch the direct-to-dvd sequel.

DOA: Dead or Alive (2007) -
Worse than Cradle of Life.

Hitman (2007) -
Felt like treaded ground, forgettable.

I'm going to go ahead and vote for Doom because it just deserves more attention than it got.
Also, I find the lack of Uwe Boll on this list ... disturbing.
That world are square.

Am I the only one that remembers that live-action Zelda fan movie, The Hero of Time, that Nintendo cracked down on? They only let it stay up for viewing throughout the end of that year (it was released around Christmas 2009 or 10, IIRC)
Not changing this until Capcom either gets their act together or the company goes under (Dragon's Dogma was a good start, to say nothing of Dark Arisen.)

Evidently I could have saved myself a lot of headaches by saying, "Hollywood Adaptations". At any rate, looks like Mortal Kombat is well-loved, at least among gamers anyway. Oh, and thanks to Devilman_Amon for listing all those animated films, and that is indeed part of the reason I stuck to live-action. I'll admit that it was also somewhat arbitrary and heavily linked to what films actually had a listing on Rotten Tomatoes.
