JRPGs seemed to have built a reputation for some very generic stories filled with many cliches and silly drama, and for a good reason. However, there are some JRPGs out there with some really good stories. What are your favorites?
Mine would be Tales of Symphonia. Sure it starts with the main character just wanting to accompany his friend / crush, but it evolves into so much more. It was filled with twists and turns, and it ended up being one of the more better and complex stories I've experienced in a video game.
