Yeah, as much as I like the Souls games, it certainly isn't because of it's "battle system" which is a clunky PoS compared to Tales and Ys.

lmao. i would like to hear why is it clunky compared to Ys and especially Tales.

Dragon's Dogma is pretty good, but the Souls games are much better.

Demon's/Dark online is one of the most unique this gen. It's incorporated very well into single player. The level design is great, especially Dark Souls interconnected design which is brilliant. Art style is amazing. Boss fights are awesome. Combat is visceral and feels satisfying. I like that the movement and combat have a sense of weight to them. Atmosphere is great. Game does not treat you like an idiot with constant hand-holding. Exploration is rewarding.

lol I can't accept people don't think Demon's/Dark Souls and Dragon's Dogma are the 3 best RPGs of this generation

You're seriously asking this?

Dark Souls is almost like a slow turtle compared to Graces f or Ys Seven for example.
It also feels stiff.

I like the Souls games, but that's more because of the difficutly, atmosphere and environments.

It all comes down to preference of course, since the Souls games just aren't meant to be fast. But still, I don't find it nearly as fun in that department.

stiff? the controls and combat is one of the most fluid out there.

Polite conversation should never include Politics, Religion or what constitutes an RPG.
Playing a game for it's story is like watching porn for it's story.

Actually he is right.

Comparing a game that tries to accurately present a sense of weight and physics to games that let you take the concept of "free flow" to moronic levels is ridiculous.

The Souls games have fluid and smooth controls for their control system. Period.
