On PS4 one in three has plus. On PS3 one in thirty.
Giving ps3 gamers great games and they are still not buying plus.
FORCING you to buy plus so you can play online = WIN.
Go figure for yourself how smart gamers are, i wont say it.
While I do have that guy ignored (to be fair, you should be too, but I ran out of space), he is right. PS+ itself was designed only to support the PS3 and later on added the Vita. When the PS4 was added, they now had to support 3 platforms with multiple games on each. PS4 had one game while PS3 had 3 and Vita had 1-2.
They brought everything in line as close as possible but you can already see the effect it's had on PS3 and Vita games. We get 1 retail PS3 game and 1 retail PS Vita game with an indie accompanying each of them, and PS4 being indie all the way. It's clear that the budget for PS+ has gone down the tubes and they are doing damage control right now.
To address your point, PS+ was originally designed as bonus, not a requirement. As PS+ got more and more popular, the subscription numbers increased. The games used to be great but they were also games that many people already owned.
