This problem just started recently on the controller that came with the PS3. When I push the left stick up I hear a sort of clicking sound and it feels like its catching slightly on something. It only happens when the stick is pressed up and it does not happen with the right stick. Does anyone know if this is something that I should be worried about or could even possibly fix? I've tried ordering a new dualshock from more than one store and have returned them all because the sticks on those were just awful to use. Any information or help would be greatly appreciated.

It's normal. Been happening with Sony analog controllers since PS1. Sometimes it goes away after time.
If you ran the world, it would probably be on fire right now.
