Anything other than component or HDMI is going to have the text be small, blurry, and hard to read on a PS3. You need video cables capable of 720p and 1080p, which would be COmponent or better. Component has 3 video and 2 audio connections.

I know that but there's many games you don't need to read the text because It's just action or puzzle there's a few games I beat without reading text, only relying myself in the cinematic stories

Why don't you get yourself a decent 90s/00s 25"-29" crt?
They have lots of inputs (composite, s-video, component) and are practically being given for free.

ps: PS3 can look quite nice on a good matchline/trinitron/flatron etc

I already have a fat tv due to space I can't bring more, the ones I mentioned in my post are small tv's that my uncle was going to throw away but I saved them because they work 100% I tested them and since I no longer play my old consoles I figured I could use them with a ps3

Can't afford a new tv, the tv I'm playing right now got it off craiglist for $20 and I've had it for 3 years now It's so good the only issue some games text can't be read but I have no issues I beat many games without reading the text plus *puts on tinfoil hat* I know some brands of flat screen tv's spy on you after I did an investigation deeply it is true so unless I could no longer find a fat old tv I'd never get a newer tv I'm just an old school gamer besides I only use my tv for gaming only since I don't watch tv if I wanted to watch a series or movie I'd just do it online on the computer

You just avoid smart TVs or never hook them up to internet...

So you only have a coaxial connection... yes? That's the little found port with the needle wire that plugs into it.

In theory, you want something like this...

https://www.amazon.com/New-Ps2-Adapter-Unit-Compatible-Playstation/dp/B004H7VSA8

However. Keep note that Sony has some very wacky proprietary encryption nonsense on the PS3 and it changes from model to model. Like how you can't use HDMI with almost every TV Capture devices for your computer (the Elgato Game Capture HD actually comes with a special Component cable just for PS3 because of this). They also took out HD Component playback for steamed TV and Blu-Ray functions around 2011 or so, so later model PS3s can't do it.

You can try the VHS or VHS/DVD Combo method as well, but, again, crazy Sony proprietary video encryption may not allow it. What you would need is an older VHS or VHS/DVD Player (likely) from the late 90s through mid 80s that has a Coaxial-out port and Composite-in ports. You would then need a PS3 Composite cable to send into the VHS and then output via coaxial to your TV.

The easier thing is to just buy a newer TV. Don't get rid of the CRT, though... because that would be a great machine to play older Standard Def consoles with... but getting an HDTV, even a small cheap one, will serve you better with the PS3.
Owner of NES, SNES, N64, GCN, Wii, SMS, GEN, TG16, PSX, PS2, PS3, XBOX, X360, XB1, GB, GBC, GBA SP, GB Micro, DS, DS Lite, PSP and a lot of crappy games.

I saw that before but the reviews said it doesn't work on ps3's that's why I was sketchy abour ordering it, but I might risk it since you said all ps3's models are different, I have a dvd player from 2001 but my uncle cut off the power cable is there a way to fix it? or it's ruined? he cut it with scissors I just saw it days ago wasn't aware of that and yes those old tv's would work fine with my old consoles like the NES or Genesis

in an old thread some guy recommended me a PC monitor for my ps3 but it was pricy like 90+ that's why I didn't get it
