Something that has been bugging me has been Vanille pushing hope to go after snow in the beginning. I get why she isn't concerned about being so close to a fal'cie but she just mocks hope when he expresses concern. Then for no explainable reason she pushes him further into the vestige as they go after snow and get closer and closer to the fal'cie which does eventually get hope tagged as a l'cie.

Why was she so insistent on getting hope to go with her instead of keeping him back where it was safe? Did she really need him to get to the vestige and couldn't just steal the bike herself? It's not like she wanted to get people tagged because she seemed genuinely sorry that she got dajh and Serah involved. But with hope, she directly got him made l'cie and never once expressed any remourse over it.

Saying that she "directly got him made a L'cie" is a bit of an exaggeration.

She saw that Hope needed to vent and thought he should confront Snow. Obviously, she didn't really think much into it.

I say directly because it is much more direct than with the other two. Dajh happened because she was near a fal'cie, she didn't even know Dahj was there. Serah just walked in because they left the door open.

Hope, on the other hand, Vanille convinced to fly to the vestige and kept egging him on towards Snow and towards the Fal'cie. And as for not thinking about it, she flat out admitted why Hope was nervous and still blew him off.

The only reason they were made l'Cie is because Lightning went and attacked Anima. Hope even blames Lightning, Snow, and Sazh for fighting it in the next chapter.

Those three sure, and Hope was almost incidental in becoming a l'cie. The only reason he was there, once again, is because of Vanille. She shares just as much of the blame because she used his fragile emotional state to prod him along so he was in that situation in the first place.

It's the fact that she was looking to be purged back to Gran Pulse and/or trying to find Fang coupled with the fact that she is eager to help Hope deal with his issue both as a kindness and as a way to distract from her own problems since she doesn't know how to deal with them rationally.

She encouraged him to face Snow, she wasn't pushing him towards the fal'Cie. That Snow ended up going there isn't her fault.
