So it seems like Activision holds considerable sway over its subsidiaries. Thoughts anyone?

That... was already known when you look at D3, especially in the early months with the RMAH and itemization design.

It's still being developed by Bungie right? Just need to use the Battle.net launcher to play it on PC?

If so, meh. Doesn't really change anything. Analogous to using Steam for the older Battlefields and then using Origin for the newer Battlefields.

RMAH

Why would you blame that on Activision? D2 had a RMAH too.

Fling enough s*** at the wall and hopefully some of it will stick, right?

Pretty sure it's going to be hosted on their servers using their anti cheat programs.

"Who will be operating Destiny 2’s servers?

Bungie will maintain Destiny 2’s servers; Blizzard’s servers will be used for features related to the Blizzard platform, such as login and social functionality."

What the heck is Destiny 2 and why is it in my Diablo app?

As a social platform I think BNet is a little lacking. Now maybe there are simply features I choose not to use, but I'd think that Bungie would have access to a far better platform or integrate facebook themselves.
