if you could pick any profession what 7 would u pick mine would be...
1.Samurai (i mean c'mon a freakin samurai massive armor and weapon dmg) 2.Dragon Rider (can mount dragons, and wyverns, gets a huge lance) 3.Shape-Shifter (transform into animals/creatures with special abilities) 4.Ninja (fast and dual wield) 5.Arcane Sorceror (very deadly area of affect spells) 6.some healing person XD 7.Boxer (could teleport and beat people down with his hands)
While a couple of yours are interesting, there are already some of those in GW, albeit under different names (ie, Ninja = Assassin, sort of). And while we haven't received much in the way of details about GW2, the likelihood of getting completely new professions (such as the Dragon Rider you suggest) is slim to none (IMO). More than likely, we'll get some of the same classes as already exist in GW (with some tweaks of course), and maybe some newer (and hopefully better) classes. For example, I could see them getting rid of Mesmer as a class on its own and rolling it in with one or two of the other existing classes (like Necro or Elementalist).
Either way, don't hold your breath on getting many completely new classes. We'll find out in a year or three.
Given the opportunity, I'd want some kind of gunpowder class, like a gunslinger or pirate. Considering Cantha is based on Asia in general, its entirely possible to work in something like that as the Chinese invented gunpowder what, 1000 years ago? I might be a little off on that number, but my point is still valid. Likelihood of seeing something like that I know is pretty much a big fat ZERO, but a guy can wish XD
At first I thought the shapeshifter thing would have potential, but then I realized that GW already has the ursan, Wolven and Raven blessing in the Norn skills, which already allows you to shapeshift into an animal form... too bad :)
