I got a Samsung series 8 3D LED TV about half a year ago and have already played other 3D games like Wipeout HD and Super Starburst HD on it without problems. The games detected that the TV is capable of 3D and ask you to switch to that mode when you load them up.
Now i was expecting something similar in GT5... but nothing. I know there are 3D Mode settings in the options menu but i can't select that either...
It's like the game doesn't get that my TV can display 3D at all.
Anyone got similar problems? Or if your 3D mode works... how exactly did you get it to work.

I have a sony bravia with the same issue. the 3d menu does not work.
I can switch the TV to 3d mode and it will do its usual conversion of the standard signal, but I do not believe it is receiving an actual 3d signal from the ps3/game. the "3d" has added depth but does not look like the other 3d games in the sony catalog.
No. Every 3d ready tv is 1080p capable. And you dont need a hdmi 1.4 cable. So long as you have a decent quality, preferably gold plated hdmi cable, you are set. Hell, Black ops worked for me using the hdmi that came with my 360 elite. And the xbox was going through an amp that is only hdmi 1.2 capable...
It's more than likely not compatible with your tv. We had the same problem with GT5 and black ops on some of the samsungs in the shop i work in. No problems with the Panasonics or Philips. Havnt checked Sony...
