this is more like Zelda than DMC, and I've played both series too death
Devil May Cry is combat heavy, with lots of options, ridiculous frame physics to make fighting appeal to elite players and likes to test your reaction speed all the time
Zelda on the other hand has good combat, with a lot of puzzles, tools and dungeons to solve, where you get keys, unlock abilities and go fight bosses that normally have a puzzle element strategy to them.
While Darksiders 2 has better combat than zelda, it is by no means devil may cry or god of war, and is much more along Zelda's puzzle system layout
