tested it on canyourunit.com, only thing that didn't pass was the CPU. the video card is meh but it has all the required attributes, (shaders, 3d accelerator etc) so why is this game so choppy and slow? i put it on the absolute lowest graphical settings and it still ran bad.
windows vista home premium 32-bit 3 gigs RAM intel core 2 duo processors 2.00GHz some intel express video card, it's decent enough to run cod5 and my res is 1280x800
so idk why the hell it's not running smoothly re4 was the same, my computer was more than capable of running it, but the game was constantly flashing. but out of my 23 other pc games, they all run smoothly, i can run oblivion pretty well, and i can run cod5 smoothly on low graphics
and don't say i know nothing about computer, i know a lot. i know my video card isn't great but it should be able to play this game at least on the LOWEST GRAPHICS, it can't even do that. i'm suspecting something went wrong in the installation
I have to agree with Teh_Roffler, an intergrated card is terrible. Maybe if you knew more about it (VRAM, specifically) or even its model number it could shed more light on the situation. However, I think I can say pretty definitively you will never run Prototype smoothly above the lowest resolution with all the settings on low, if it runs on that.
