Is if it was a free-roam game, centered around the ruined earth, and (eventually) the Axiom. You could go places, finish little "missions", such as finding a plant, making trash blocks, etc. For fun, you could also go around and find little treasures to put in your home. Once EVE comes, you could switch between WALL-E and her anytime you want, and each would be able to do unique things, and access different areas. Maybe there could even be something like a newspaper collection which you find throughout the world which fills out the backstory a bit.

Eventually you would go on the ship and fly to the Axiom where it would be a bit more linear, but still focusing on exploration, and it would have a bit more clear-cut objectives. Still, there would be fun little things to do around the ship, like helping residents and other robots. It could be a bit more action oriented, with the robots who are chasing them.

And then once you finish up the Axiom segment of the game, you'd fly back to Earth, fix up WALL-E, and you would go through several mini-segments, throughout the time as they're fixing up Earth, eluded to in the credits. You'd have to plant seeds, then it would go to 50 years later, where you'd have to have to help find materials to build new buildings, and go another 100 or so years ahead, where you could help some more, etc. and eventually, a final Epilogue chapter, where Earth is beginning to flourish once again, and you enjoy the fruits of your labor.

The game would be less focused on action, and more on exploration, story, and reaching new places. It would have an overall serene feel, and would be calming.

But of course the makers wouldn't ever make a movie game like that because, ya know, they are just looking for a quick payoff. Not an actually enjoyable game.
