Failed to compile global shader FDOFAndBloomGatherFallbackPixelShader.

I have to reinstall, don't I?

Don't quote me on this, but I *think* this is the "run in administrator mode" issue.

i.e. You need to run the game in administrator mode.

"Failed to compile global shader"

Hate to break this to everyone, but it's a known error message resulting from ignoring the system requirement about pixel shader SM3 capability. You only see that when you have too old of a card, such as a GF4, FX, or Radeon X***. The minimum for each, GeForce and Radeon, is the card from the first year of SM3 that is fast enough, Vanilla 6800 (perhaps) and who really knows for AMD, since EA certainly doesn't.

The Radeon minimum is probably really an X1600 XT and the EA idiots managed to move its name 300 performance points downward and create an internal conflict in their own requirements (an X1300 XT is literally a renamed X1600 Pro).
