I know this is an often asked question, but could you give me your opinions as to how I could improve the graphical performance in GTA 4 (new graphics card, more RAM etc...). At the moment I can only run it at the verylowest resolution and it looks awful.
This is also a bit of a surprise as I thought my system was relatively powerful.
Here's my benchmark. As you can see I'm running Vista. I also have 4GB of RAM.

CPU is a huge bottleneck for this game, E6700 isnt good enough, upgrade to a quad core, Q6600 at the very least. Also look into getting yourself a 1GB graphics card, something like a 1gb 9800gt/x, or a HD4850.
I ended up going with the NVIDIA N260GTX and the difference is incredible!! The game now suggests a resolution of 1600 x 1200 as the ideal setting as well as putting everything else on high. Thanks for your help.

Wow amazing PCGH had trouble running the game on a 280GTX with dual core E6600 they got 19FPS @ 1280x1024
