I don't have a wii, but do have a ps3, so I'm thinking of importing Samurai Warriors 3 Z. For those that have played the Z version with the Japanese only, but don't know a lick of Japanese like myself, how have you managed the game? How hard/easy was it to grasp the game? Keep in my I have never played a SW game before, not 1, not 2, not 3 or any of the expansions.
SW4 isn't until next year, so I wanted to prepare myself by playing previous installments of the game. I thought about SW2 and SW2 xtreme, which is in English, but didn't feel like going too far back. SW3 Z is the most current, but because it's Japanese only I'm on the fence here. I don't want to end up getting the game and not knowing what to do in terms of advancing the game or struggling to even understand the basics of the system.
well, I haven't played it, but I'd play SW3 (or even SW2) to get a feel for it. The menus might be in katakana or hiragana (katakana is easyish to translate with a katakana chart) The voiceovers will be in Japanese (there's an option on SW3 to use Japanese voiceovers, even in the English game) Mission objectives will be in Japanese (probably hiragana?) and so pretty hard to work out what you have to do.
