Nothing but camp locations

Blue bot can do doubles, purple can't. Harder for AD to walk over for red buff on purple, etc

Blue in ranked has slightly lower ELO than purple.

Purple has a more annoying time with the camera in general because of the UI and have more difficult access to Baron. The purple jungler can get a harder leash if they start blue because they have the ADC. Purple has easier access to Dragon and can get clutch Baron steals over the wall.

Vice versa for blue team.

Most people will say Blue has advantage due to camera and camps, but I actually prefer Purple side. Camera is only an issue if you play locked. And I much prefer to have open confrontation angle to dragon for the earlier fights, and wall on Baron if we need to steal it.

Also, I like to play top, so have Doubles to go back to when I'm shoved is always a treat.

The pathing/AI on purple minions is slightly better, so if you leave the side lanes alone for a while, purple will usually out push blue.

I think most new people have trouble on purple side because they play with a locked camera. You just need to force yourself to unlock the camera and eventually you become proficient with it, and what side you are on doesn't matter. At lower Elo's and levels where people still play with locked cameras then blue is definitely an advantage, but later on it's not more beneficial for anyone.
