Have you guys played him? Do you like him? I understand he is a support but, I find his Ult doesn't support this. All it does is deal damage to those who pass though it. That doesn't seem like an Ult a support should have. His other skills are awesome but, his Ult is just sooo lackluster to me, it doesn't really bring anything to team fights. IDK maybe its just me but I think Riot needs to rethink his Ult skill into something that actually helps the team out and not just deal damage that you don't need.

I thought his ult had some stupid 99% slow on it or something.

If I recall correctly doesn't his ult deal damage and slow? It is effectively a large area denial that can discourage the enemy from chasing and assist your allies in pursuit.
This is only here to make my post look better.

He has two pulls, one long range and one shorter range.

You use the long range pull on one person, then the shorter on another, and drop your Box. You will hopefully have two people at a 99% and 66%(I think, I can't remember) slow.

It will also be an AMAZING counter initiate move as if the enemy assassin comes in on your ADC, just have Thresh stand near your ADC and drop the cage, zoning the enemy away from your high profile targets.

(This is all theory craft as I have yet to play him as I don't have a PBE account)

thresh is gonna stomp on dive comps, not only does he have like two displace ccs, he has a box which deals a crapload of damage and works like if you're in veigars stuncircle (cause if you touch the outer rims yer gonna get eaten alive.

And also can pull his ad to him after said ad gets dove on.

You guys have some good points but, IDK his Ult just seems boring and uninspired to me. I like him as an overall Champion though.

His ult is stupid good if used right. I'm not sure what gives you the impression that its lackluster. Playing as an aggressive support once you hit 6 you have so much kill pressure.

his ults a good cc tool for your team to aim whoever is trapped in it
though his support concept can be a bit upsetting to his overall champ concept :/
