Honestly, I'd rather just type in quickly, "ss". It takes, probably half of a second, and it keeps my head in the game when I have to type and move at the same time.
I can tell people I'm on my way now? Well, any teammate with a hint of common sense, knows that when you say "omw", that you're most likely referring to something big happening within a near destination.
I can tell people I need assistance? I can send that message with one ping. Same goes for stranger danger. CTRL + click does it just fine.
We don't need a radial menu, and I don't think DotA2 did either...I feel like it promotes laziness or something, encouraging some people to select an option from a wheel, when we could already do this as fast, if not quicker, with our hands and 1-2 keys.
From: OwlRammer | #014 PSA: This type of thing has been thing has been done in numerous different games, such as FPS games and whatnot.
The problem is that it takes competition like DotA 2 to get Riot to actually implement such things. Why didn't Riot introduce a radial ping menu before DotA 2? Why didn't they have a search bar for items in the shop menu before DotA 2 had one? Why does it take competition to implement convenient tools for Riot to get up off their ***** and y'know develop new and handy user tools?
