Hydra is pretty underrated right now but its a very viable buy on any melee champ that uses BT.

BTW the Hydra active procs Riven passive, which is pretty cool.

Hmm, very interesting.

Why is Hydra not liked too much? The active and passive are quite decent. Solid base AD, smaller items so don't need to save 1650 G, life regen blabla

I'd imagine people are still skittish about it, since tiamat wasn't in the best place for a long time

there isn't anything wrong with hydra at all, it is a pretty damn good item.

Eventually? You can easily get five stacks from the first creep wave you come across as Riven, your BT should always be higher than a Hydra unless they're at your Nexus turrets when you buy it.

Its build path is not that great really, paying 2300 gold for just 5 more ad and 15 hp regen (compared to the BF sword) is just not that attractive unless you're very fed.

I believe the cost of Tiamat is getting buffed by a considerable amount, so it'll probably be a more attactive purchase than it is now.
