Basically, say what you believe to be the most offensive tank champ, then the most defensive (Survivable) champ.

I'm not asking which has the best blend of both, unless you wanted to answer that too. I'm just curious to see if there's actually going to be an agreement on these answers, or a ballpark.

Also, please explain your reasoning some if you would.

Best Tank defense I'd say probably Rammus, best offensive tank well Elise can build straight up tank and still be pretty deadly

Most Offensive Tank: Skarner, Hecarim, or Amumu (two are pretty much bruisers instead, the third has rather high output)

Most Defensive/Survivable tank: Alistar, Rammus, or Maokai (innate defensive properties above and beyond the average guy,)

IMO, anyway.

Depends on what you mean by offensive. Do you mean that they'd simply be looking to jump in and start fights? If so, I'd say Leona. If you mean more of a damage-dealing tank, I'd say Volibear. He's got a kit designed for mauling people while also needing to fill the spot of initiating and soaking up damage. Nasus could also get a bid here, because of his Q scaling.

For most defenseive, I'd go with Alistar. All that damage mitigation, peeling potential, and an AOE heal. It's too bad he is most often put as a support. He can make good use of some gold.

Volibear will build tons of health and resist and still deal insane damage. Alistar will build Visage and Frozen Heart and be unkillable with his ult on.

Mundo- AD steroid, and Insane Regen
Voli- Execute and insane regen, along with a gap closer
Malphite- The reason why people ban him
Garen- His Passive, and his simple ult

Maokai- 'Shield' that reduces damage received
Jarvan- Knockup and Isolation
Xin- Able to peel with passive, and disengage with ult

Offensive tank: Jarvan 4. He has a good initiation, and his ult is amazing if he uses it correctly. Also Maokai. Ult for 20% damage reduction and some of the best base damage in the game if you go straight tank.

Defensive Tank: Alistar like someone already said because of his ult and displacement, and Leona. Good at initiating, but better at defending. Her stuns can lock down anything if they try to dive a carry, or you're on your own defending a turret.

For offensive Nasus seems like the obvious choice. He can build pure tank and still have his Q hit like a truck and his ult does % max health damage.
