This reminds me of that topic not so long ago where people were trying to say megazero made a lot of mistakes and wasn't a good riven and that's the only reason doublelift killed him.

Oh Gamefaqs, u so silly.

To be fair, there's a big difference between an actual (team) game and 1v1 Top Lane survival matches. This whole tournament never really took into account how people can make decisions in mid-to-late game that help their team, earn victory, etc. It was more or less just a "Who gets first blood?" contest.

And that's more or less why after the first 10 minutes of watching both streams, I considered it a joke tournament and closed them out.

It's not really a joke tourney if you have the right mindset, is it still cool watching pro basketball players shooting free throws? Sure it's pretty entertaining but beating someone in a free throw contest doesn't mean you're better during a team match and no one should take it that way.

The biggest problem is that it's a 1v1 Riven tourney which is not representative of real matches since you don't fight mirrors. A lot of these players have zero previous knowledge of Riven mirrors and how that works exactly.

Regardless, still some pretty damn cool fights, especially qtpie's stuff.

Yeah anyone who is taking it too seriously is dumb, this tourney was for fun and charity, and even if it was 100% serious tournament, 1v1 mirror matchup doesn't mean anything.
