Didn't NA send their 1st, 5th and 8th best team there and still went 15-6 against EU's top 3 teams?

I don't watch esports so I need someone to inform me

Yeah I'm not really into that stuff, but word on the street is that G2, EU's most dominant team for the past 2 years and 2017 MSI finalists, went 1-5 in groups and Fnatic, the clear favorites to win the tournament and the best EU team at the time, got absolutely exposed as a One Trick Pony who ran some weird splitpush comp with Kennen ADC and Shen top to destroy their region. UoL, the only EU team to even go even in groups, went to finals and got smashed by NA's TSM, who EU fans had previously discredited and claimed they wouldn't even get out of groups. Apparently EU did so badly that they keep on repeating that they won S1 Worlds even though the Esports scene was barely alive at that point
LoL is better than hell? What a joke. LoL is hell itself. There's no hope to be had in it - nothing but absolute despair.

I agree, EU got smashed.
But G2 got smashed by pretty much every team in EU at that time, Fnatic indeed was a one trick pony but learned from Rift Rivals and afterwards pretty much dominated EU LCS (together with H2K), and UoL have got (in my opinion) a pretty weak mid laner.

And, I must say, I was impressed by NA, especially TSM. I am looking forwards to Worlds and hopefully a redemption of EU.

you realize that was a joke tourney right? EU was literally using it as practice/scouting the na scene so when a real tourney shows up they can smash

This. Although UOL is dumpsterfire and they arent 3rd best EU team at all by a long shot and Exileh is the 2nd worst midlaner in EU and probably west, after Cozq. Disgustingly bad.
Im a G2 fan but the way they played vs splyce yesterday was tragic and im not hoping for anything as long as they have trick, who is terrible and had played bad for many many months now. I really wish NA would give us some of their jungle talent stuck on bad teams like mike yeoung or hell even dardoch. With Nisqy turning out to be good, they literally took 4 of our best or good midlaners. I mean come on. Only FNC is looking like it wont get crushed without a fight. I dont believe in h2k, forg1ven sitting at home is travesty.
