Some juicy gossip about several staffers leaving the studio building Thief 4 prompted a wave of concern that the long-awaiting sequel would never come out of the shadows. Eidos Montreal's general manager countered those claims by announcing they would be able to counter those claims by the end of the year.
Stephane D'Astous spoke to The Official Xbox 360 Magazine for their next issue about Thief 4 and OXM teased the interview with D'Astous' reassuring words.
He said the new title is taking some time because they are trying to build on the franchise and make it something "more than corridor shoot shoot, corridor shoot shoot".
"We will be able to be a little more communicative later on, hopefully before the year's end. Right now, Thief is our priority and we're putting everything behind it to make sure it's as successful as our first game."
