And what do you think about the style of the HUD and the numbers? Looks pretty futuristic, in my opinion, but I'm not sure whether it will fit the theme, but there are no known details about the setting of this game, so I can't judge, I guess.
The HUD is probably still provisional, like Xenoblade's HUD was until rather far into development.
Anyway, my two cents is that fully controllable Gears = win. :D
Had a Street Fighter signature for four years, but Crapcom doesn't deserve such recognition anymore.
Aww what no Xenoblade composers :( The music in the trailer sounds like cliche hollywood film music that I've heard a thousand times before :(
That could very well be what it was, if they decided the music wasn't in a usable state just yet (or didn't want to show it).
Yeah hopefully, the way the music kicks in when the composer is revealed though makes me think it is his music.
This happened with The Last Story; the director requests music 'similar to that found in recent action films' because they think it will make their game more cinematic (not bashing Uematsu's score is was great for what it was, but cliche action music mostly). I guess it's part of trying to make JRPG's more appealing to western gamers by trying to write similar music to those found in popular shooters.
The music in the trailer wouldn't sound so cliche if it weren't for the choir.
It's "I couldn't care less" NOT "I could care less"!! Why do 90% of English speakers get this wrong?
I think it is better for Xenoblade not to have a direct sequel. I mean, it had a good ending in itself.
But since Shulk talked about other worlds in space... What if this new X game was in the future, when Homs have discovered a new planet ? You could get references to Xenoblade, but it would be far enough in the future to be its own game, not "just" a sequel
