I don't really understand how you feel justified calling DeathFire a liar, or criticising him at all; it is both rude and counter productive. He initiated this translation project on his own motivation. He's not paid or rewarded for it and he certainly won't be inclined to continue if you insult him. He has no obligation to keep us updated.
I was hopeful of a translation when I began watching this thread but I will not show hatred or anger towards DeathFire simply because he doesn't feel motivated to continue the translation or to keep hounding forum members posted. If you want an unofficial translation you must be patient and respectful of those who offer to speed up the process. Not everyone will see a project through to the end and you need to accept and respect that.
I just felt the need for amicability here; people seem to be turning nasty.
^ Yay~ Someone else who doesn't call people liars just because they haven't replied or given any samples! Besides, if people keep calling him a liar maybe he doesn't want to finish translating at all. I know I wouldn't. Why do it for people who insult you?
It's because all of the pirates here feel entitled to a translation patch to go along with their illegal copy of the game. You're in this scenario because of this shady behavior, and it makes a vicious cycle ultimately...
You could write a book, call it "Unidentified Loving Object". It'd sell millions.
I think calling impatient fans of the game 'pirates' on assumption is also a way of initiating more arguments. Impatience for something one wants and sometimes forgetting to consider the other party involved is just how some people's minds take precedence and by no means suggests that they don't intend to buy the game or that they don't regret their impatience when enlightened. Breenm has apologised, and that is perfectly respectable and admirable, so we can all move on from assumptions and insults; or at least I hope so.
