Here's hoping that people still look at this board.

I'm definitely wanting to play a Kensai. I know that for a fact. I am a new, free play player and I'm looking for some insights concerning my class of choice. I'd really like to unlock the monk and go for a Kensai/Monk hybrid, but my search across the net has not given me any information on how these classes interact. Kensai's series of specializations cites Ki several times, so it can't be all bad, right?

At a glance it would seem a 12/8 K/M split is about right... but I could be wrong. It might be that monk is a terrible choice, but I don't understand all of the background mechanics. Are there any better choices than monk? Rogue, perhaps? Maybe a Barbarian? Straight Kensai might be good. I just don't know.

Thanks in advance for the insights.
