I have the PS3 version, but there are a couple of things that bug me:

1- There is annoying zoom in when you lock on to an enemy, which makes the screen appear to be in letterbox format with black bars on the top and bottom of the tv screen.

2- The dodge ability is set to the R1 button (right bumper).

Is it the same thing for the Xbox 360 version when it comes to those things I mentioned? If so, can you turn off the letterbox zoom, and can you map the dodge ability to another button in the Xbox 360 version?

Both of those are in the Xbox 360 version as well, the dodge button and the whole lock-on black bar you talk about. You may be able to change the controls a little on the 360 version, although I haven't looked myself so can't say it's for sure, but I don't think you can turn off the black bar stuff. For some of the lighter, easier enemies you should be able to fight them without really needing the lock-on mechanic, but for bosses, it's almost mandatory to use it.

The black bars only show up when there is no target to lock on to. If there is a target the black bars will not appear.
