I know you can poison a poison or steel type by changing their type with something like Soak, and steel types don't take poison damage if switched out and back in.
But do poison types take damage if switched out and back in?
Thinking of a DW doubles team, and I'm thinking of using a Toxic Orb Quick Feet Scolipede and a Soaker pair. Swords Dance the first turn, Soak the first turn, Toxic Orb activates, and allows Scolipede to start sweeping.
However, I'm curious as I'm worried that switching scolipede out and back in will still cause poison damage, even though it would be a poison type again.
So, any confirmation on if a poisoned poison type takes damage from poison? (Only asking, since steel types don't)
