Do those quests in the DLC just go on forever or is there an end to them?
I mean the "Sit on Throne", "Translate this Book" etc.?

the translate ends and the paintings end, i think everything else is forever.

even though the throne one runs out, it stays on your log.

The throne one stays in your log because you can keep doing it certain ones. I got married in Dead Kel a while ago, but still complete throne quest that I did already. One of them is that Faer Gorta one.

It's at the end of the Master of the Keep questline. You have to get an alliance with the Ljosalfar to get your future wife, then once you have done everyone else's Master of the Keep request, she asks you to marry her.
mine did it and I clean my eyes every day with soap, inside them and everything, and I Q-tip them every day.
