In the same way a pointless romance sub-plot adds to a character. Care to make a topic that isn't insignificant?

well anything is better than not having any development. even ifthere is a cheesy romantic sub-plot, it wouldnt make any difference as long as it adds more to the character and isnt in your face as most of them are. In any case, it beats having a overly macho duke nukem stereotype that nobody can identify with
