honestly the metroid prime games have enough action and shooting to be called a FPS, but they also have enough platforming to be called a platformer. therefore its a First Person Action Adventure Platformer Shooter, or FPAAPS for short.
i think the games to do qualify to be put into the FPS, but call it what you will.
