Got it... update takes FOREVER. Still downloading :'(
I managed to snag a deluxe at Walmart with no preorder too!!! Only two other people there to get one lol. I did have a basic preordered in the next town over that I could get in the morning, but I thought I would take a chance at Walmart tonight.
Small towns who don't care bout games ftw!!!
Extremely jelly, damn these overpopulated areas! My Walmart had no extras, Bestbuy was closed, aaaand I forgot to try target :P I'ma go catch some Zzzs now, shouldn't be too long :D
The controller feels odd. It's not... Let me put it this way. I'm very sensitive to controllers. I can't play Game Boy games on a GameCube controller, for instance. It just messes me up.
The controller is so wide and just feels odd. I wonder how well I'd do using it in Monster Hunter. Good thing I can use any controller I want. Also, I disagree with people who say it's light. It's not. It's heavy to me.
The system is pretty big. Definitely bigger than a Wii, but much smaller than the competition. Also, the power supply is pretty big compared to the Wii. That was one of the first things I noticed. Oh, and you can tell the difference between a Wii sensor bar and a Wii U sensor bar. A Wii sensor bar is gray and a Wii U sensor bar is black (I have them stacked on top of each other right now).
I'm busy downloading this massive update as well. Man, it takes forever! What's nice is that the system automatically detects what your TV is capable of and switches to those settings. So it set itself to 1080p 16x9. Of course, when I plug in the Wii Component Cables to start capturing on the Hauppauge, I will have to switch it to 720p? I'd better figure that out.
I might have footage posted today.
