The Conduit games aren't big enough to support a spinoff. You don't take a niche game and then make a spinoff with it. The spinoff won't sell. Metroid Prime Pinball - a spinoff - only sold a fraction of Metroid Prime's 2 million copies. But at least Metroid Prime was large enough to support a spinoff.
It's either a full new game or nothing.
