tried out classic controller on single-player today just to see how it plays, and the controls were very jerky. ive also played cod on ps3, and the controls there are much better. what is it that holds c2's analog controlling back?

This game does not support aim assist for Classic Controller.

Because HVS didn't really plan how the Classic Controller would be implemented very well.

A few people have done very well with the classic controller, Jaye for example, but most people have trouble with it.

I think I tried it for about 5 minutes once and immediately gave up.

Dual analog was probably just an afterthought in this game, so I think that's why. The first one didn't even support dual analog. The game was designed ground up for a Wii Remote, so, I guess there's your answer.

Just gotta derp around with your control sensitivity, and find the sweet spots.

Still, with no aim assist, you're still doomed 80% of the time.

The Classic Controller just isn't a very good controller. It's choppy in Monster Hunter and The Last Story too, compared to Nunchuk and other controllers. It could've been better if they added aim assist, but they didn't.
