So, I've been sitting on this a long time. Originally I was only keeping it a secret because I didn't want it to be patched, But after I showed it to Samu5, he convinced me that it wouldn't be a good idea for everyone to use it.
However, since the end of the game is coming up, I thought it would be a good idea for people to have the chance to use it, before its too late.
Soooo... I made a video.
Its quite long.
I go over the basics right at the very beginning, but then I break it down and discuss the 3 main weapons with which I've found it to be the most fun/practical.
Which are the Phase Rifle.
And the MP5.
If you're only curious about what the glitch is, and how to do it, then you'll only need to watch the first couple minutes.
But if you're actually interested in trying to fight with it, you may want to go ahead and watch the rest.
I think the shotgun cancel is a lot of fun to use. And, I don't think it will become a broken tactic, at least not in the time we have left.
Its not the MOST difficult glitch, But I think it is at least moderately difficult in application. And also very punishable to get wrong. It took me about 6 months of using it pretty consistently before I was able to use it reliably enough to get more kills out of it, than what trying to use it was costing me. I know for a fact that Symp tried it to use it, supposedly without much success.
Also, I do not think think I explored everything there is to explore with the glitch. I'm sure somebody like CMO, with better knowledge of actual weapon damages & how they're affected by perks, will be able to find some other interesting combinations.
Was just trying it in invasion and the mp5 combo is too OP. As far as no scoping with the PR, don't know if this is what you say about Chronic doing, but when you scope out, from the time you unscope to the time the screen returns to its normal view, the PR shot will go to the center of the reticle, rather impractical though unless you are really steady with your aim.
If the result of tommorrow is today, what would you have done yesterday?
