Ok. Since the game is done and it doesn't look like Wiimmfi is gonna come through for us, I need to come clean about something.
I was always holding back in-game.
Because I didn't want to alienate you with my skill, I missed on purpose. And I mean like a lot.
Samu, that time we did the 1v1 in Streets and I just couldn't hit you: Sorry. On purpose.
Brennan, those Battle Ladder matches that you won: Sorry. If it is any consolation, I feel terrible about it now.
Mike, all those times you got the drop on me with the Carby: Sorry, but it seemed like your signature thing.
Chain, our final BL match: Sorry. It just seemed nicer if you won. If I had another chance, I'd do it differently.
Dug, getting trapped by all those black holes: I feel really bad about it now.
Nightfire, all those backstabs: I knew how much they meant to you.
Not just these guys, but I apologize to you all. It was not very honest or sportsmanlike of me.
I always tried to do it very carefully, sometimes shooting over other player's heads, seeming to run out of ammo at the worst possible time, or accidentally crouching instead of sprinting. I tried to mix it up, but over the years several people did PM me that my in-game behavior, KDR, and accuracy were suspicious.
Did anyone else ever hold back? I bet I wasn't the only one.
