Most randoms don't use rockets or gel. So when everyone drops in a hack spot or during an escort i pick everyone up.

Do you have to die as well for the medi-gel transmitter to work?

Good question.

I've only used it when i've died so i don't actually know. I'll try to test it later for you.

I like Medi-Gel Transmitter a lot on my Volus Engineer. Helps cement my support roll a bit more.

You have to be down at the same time as at least one other teammate for it to do anything. It doesn't do anything if you're up, or if you're the only one down and you gel.

You have to die. If I have three teammates down around me, I'll just moon a Hunter or Dragoon until I drop. I hear it works if you're alive on PC though, since it's screwing with reload-cancelling for people that use the Medigel button to cancel.

I think it was implemented with volus characters in mind.

I use it when running with a group that I recently started playing with. Mainly because I've got it at 5 and it helps a ton on the worst hack objectives (the extraction point on condor, the open hack on london and vancouver, and the two open area hacks on hydro to name a few).

Just curious, do you get credit for a revive for every teammate that gets up? So if the whole team is dead and you use it, do you get credited with 3 revives?

It's very useful when the entire team gets nuked by an abomination.

I'll never use it. You know you'll try hard not to die but you can't say that for some random person online. Some people just die too often and it's a waste if you have to keep saving them.

And besides, you wouldn't use it if you were close to them anyways, you'd revive them. And if you couldn't revive them there's no point in using it, i.e. enemies in the area, they're across the map. The only time it would be useful is when they are out of medigel, they're a split moment from dying and can't get to them, and it's wave 11 and you want the XP.
