Sure, we have the "take out 4 targets" mission, but it's too goddamn easy. I was thinking of something around the grounds of actually introducing big bad Bosses the whole team has to focus fire on in order to take down. Even Missiles would deal reduced damage to them. While the Threat is around, only base enemies would spawn (like Husks and Troopers).

Was playing around in Single Player and kept hearing: "Incoming Harvester!", and then I thought about hearing that from the multiplayer Pilot and rushing to kick its ass.

Since Geth and Cerberus are indoctrinated and Collectors and Reapers are- well integrated into their own faction, I believe having a Harvester show up anywhere would be cool.

But then it'd get a little complicated with a few enclosed areas like Reactor or Glacier, but I'm sure they could work around a ceiling buster animation or something. XD

So why not? :D

We could have Harvesters and Adjutans for reapers and Cerberus but whar about the other ones?

as for collectors i'm sure they could create a new enemy, basically a giant version of the scion except it isn't slow as hell and has alternate attacks for close and long range

No reason for a ceiling buster on Glacier. That'd be a huge amount of work. There's enough room that a Harvester could fly around the hanger room. Reactor (and Hazard) would need a script that prevents that objective from occurring.
Cerberus could use Gunships (Remember ME2 Archangel/Kasumi missions?)
Geth could have Armatures and hoppers.

Mayb the threat differs depending on which map you're playing? For instance, I can see it being a Thresher Maw on Giant a Colossus on Hydra and possibly an Oculus on Glacier or more confined areas.

Reapers: harvester
Geth: Colossus (and colossi would be the proper plural form)
Cerberus: the gunship sounds like a good idea
Collectors: unless it's also the harvester, I'm at a loss. We already have praetorians, and we can't very well have a wandering proto-reaper popping in.

And we don't need any special animation for them to appear. We already have atlas's magically popping out of thin air, if you're standing in view of a spawn point (whereas in SP, they squeeze through a door, or drop from the sky). I see no reason why these super-bosses can't spawn in like any other enemy.

Though the gunship on Reactor would be a problem. And the only way it would be a threat on Glacier is if you're out in the open on the loading dock. On second thought, maybe the Cerberus super-boss needs a little more thought.

Map specific. That would work. And what if whatever it was also attacked enemies? All enemies spawn infinitely on objective waves anyway, so it certainly wouldn't take anything away.

I think having map specific enemies would work better than having specific types for each faction. As big as a Harvester is, I can see it having a lot of problems moving around on maps like reactor or glacier, same with a Colossus.

I would definitely be down with a Thresher Maw showing up somehow on Tuchanka, or a Harvester dropping in to London or Condor, or a Colossus showing up on a map like Hydra though. Just give them insane amounts of health especially a Colossus because that thing is pretty much a sitting duck.

We could easily have alternate threats for tight maps. I like this idea, I despise most objectives (especially when the drone disappears), but this might be fun.
