Someone told me that hardcore for the campaign was more difficult than insanity. He thought it might have been a bug, but can anyone else confirm this?

Not unless a game patch caused this. One of my characters did run through it under hardcore (I had to play it to unlock insanity in the first game and just carried over the difficulty in the rest) and barely noticed much in terms of difficulty from normal where 3 is concerned.

Edit: I think you misunderstood the OP of that topic, TC. The guy was saying he thought ME3 Hardcore was as hard/harder than ME2 Insanity.

How he thought that, I dunno. ;)
