With the people I play Plat with, it's usually a semi-camp. We'll be around one side of the map for the most part. So on Dagger, the control room building + the back ramp area. Or on White, we usually hold the upper part of the base and flex one way or the other as circumstances demand.

I refuse to farm Rio, and unless I'm with a good team who can contact one another and nuke spawns, I tend to gravitate between camping a specific spot and moving throughout, kiting enemies where we need to (like if a Pretorian is hunting us down).
If I'm in a Rio box game, I generally stay around the middle of the map acting as a scout killing as many things as possible before they reach the box. Because bad players who use the box can screw up even in there is the dumbest of ways so I try not to let them get overwhelmed. Usually have to retreat mid-wave, though not to box, unless they all got downed. :/
