only if everyone is at level 1

but yes, you can the most XP per credit this way

a lot of people don't like using this method since it does not give any UR drops, though.

..
So I heard you like Nyarlathotep

This is just for the challenge achievement isn't it? I don't think there's any other reason to do promotions (unless you are short on reset packs or REALLY short on EMS in single player).
DF: So why can a Marauder roll but a multiplayer Turian can't?
Delta1-9: You are fighting female turian husks. You have reach but they have flexibility.

You don't need to do this to get the N7 challenge ...ok maybe if you JUST want that challenge for banner or something, but playing naturally and just promoting when you hit 20 will make you get this challenge before getting some of the other challenges like spectre mastery and all of the challenges under the aliens tab.
it's not easy being this awesome and modest

Just the challenge achievement, yes. I just don't like playing Gold with characters I'm not good with because I look stupid for how long I've been playing. I pretty much only play as a Kroguard unless I have a lot of IV equipment for my Huntress...and I'm by no means anywhere close to an expert with her, either.

And we all know how long Bronze promotions take...

Oh while we're on the topic of achievements, can I get Map Mastery without ever doing any Platinum? Can I just Gold-master all the maps?

yes, doing all gold map challenges + gold on hazard maps, should put you just above 40, it is like 42 ish, never counted just eye balled it with what I have remaining.

Sounds like a good idea. You fill up your level 1 equipment inventory and then you should actually only get character cards except for the occasional level 2 items.
