Will older DS games be able to utilize the slide pad for movement? Imagine how much more enjoyable Super Mario 64DS would be if you could.

That question has been asked multiple times.

For now it's presumed that it might likely be possible.

The hypothesized answer is that the most likely case is that the slide pad will simply work like an eight directional D-Pad for older DS games, so it won't improve SM64DS at all, as unless the code for that game has some back door for an analogue peripheral device, it won't have analogue control.

But hey, maybe Nintendo could hack a patch and release it on their virtual store.
